Community Employment Vacancies

Eligibility to participate on Community Employment Scheme (CE Sceme) is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Duties to include; cleaning of hallways, toilets, etc, Helping in the kitchen when needed Assisting in sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and utensils, including tools, containers, and food storage areas. Works well on a team or on own. This position might include weekend work. 

 

Duties to include: accounts to be kept using practice as recommended by DSP. Weekly updating of tax deduction cards and payslips. Sorting of post. Filing of wages, materials and training claims to DSP. Also weekly updating accounts payment book and payment of materials invoices.

 

Duties to include; Responsible for the reception area, to answer the phone, greet guests, pass on information, respond to inquiries and instruct visitors.

When dealing with the public; administer appointments, communicate by telephone, communicate verbal instructions, meet and greet customers in a friendly manner.

Duties include driving the bus for older citizens, club's and schools.

Collecting the older citizens helping them on to the bus and helping them off the bus, cleaning of bus inside and out, maintenance and inspection of bus.

Checking lights and headlights are working, oil is ok, tyres are at correct pressure.

On occasion may be required to cover other duties.

Duties to include; To visit clients living alone in their homes weekly or weekly depending on the client’s .

Provide engagement for clients through home visits, Emphasis on companionship and wellness. Through a smart phone mobile application evaluate the wellbeing of the client; through the smart phone application be able to make referrals to appropriate services.

Duties to include; Identify areas and if needed clean them, assess slips risks and fix them, ensure centre is free from fire, health and safety hazards, DIY jobs around the Centre such as painting, fixing compliances, light bulb changing, hand rails installed etc, maintain exterior of the centre with grass cutting, landscaping and rubbish removal.

Duties to include; Helping in the kitchen, food preparation including but not restricted to; Chopping, peeling, Mixing or baking.

Assist in sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and utensils, including tools, containers, and food storage areas.

Takes direction from chef, and able to communicate with other kitchen staff.

Duties to include; closing of the building, key holding, making sure the building is secure at night, manage the car park etc.
